This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to all personal information collected by 3T Works Pty Ltd ABN 73662804480 trading as T2O Property Solutions and UnlockHome ("we", "us", "our") through the UnlockHome platform (unlockhome.com.au), any related mobile application, and in the course of providing property search, inspection, buyer's agency, and investor services.
This Policy is issued in accordance with Australian Privacy Principle 1 (APP 1). By using our Platform or providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

What Personal Information We Collect
We collect only the personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities.
3.1 Renters and Property Seekers
- Name, email address, phone number
- Rental search preferences (suburb, price range, bedrooms, commute destination)
- Saved properties and search history
- Rental application documents (employment letters, tenancy ledgers, identification)
- Details submitted in renter registration forms (e.g. study institution, workplace)
3.2 Property Managers and Landlords
- Name, business name, ABN, real estate licence number
- Email address, phone number, office address
- Property listing details and associated documents
- Payment information (managed via our payment processor — we do not store card details)
3.3 Investors
- Name, email address, phone number
- Investment capacity and interest details (from expression of interest forms)
- SMSF trustee details where relevant to a buyer's agency engagement
- Property inspection requests and due diligence report information
3.4 All Users
- IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL
- Pages visited, time spent, and interactions with the Platform
- Communications sent to us via email, phone, or the Platform's contact forms
How We Collect Personal Information
We collect personal information in the following ways:
- Directly from you — when you create an account, submit a listing, complete a renter or investor form, request an inspection, or contact us
- Automatically — through cookies, server logs, and analytics tools when you use the Platform
- From third parties — where you have authorised another party to share your information with us
- From publicly available sources — property address data, school zone polygons (Victorian Department of Education), and public transport stop data (PTV)

Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to the following categories of third parties:
6.1 Property Managers and Landlords
When you submit a rental application or enquiry, your personal information is shared with the relevant property manager or landlord for the purpose of assessing your application. By submitting an application, you consent to this disclosure.
6.2 T2O Property Viewers
When you book a property inspection, your contact details and the property address are shared with the assigned T2O Property Viewer to enable them to conduct the inspection and deliver the report.
6.3 Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform, including:
- Supabase — database hosting and backend infrastructure
- Vercel — Platform hosting and deployment
- Payment processors — for processing inspection booking payments (card details not stored by us)
- Email service providers — for transactional and marketing communications
6.4 Legal and Regulatory Disclosure
We may disclose personal information where required by law, court order, or regulatory requirement.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of our service providers (including Vercel and certain analytics tools) may process or store data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Before disclosing personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles.
By using the Platform, you consent to the potential transfer of your personal information to overseas service providers as described in this Policy.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Platform.
Types of cookies we use:
- Essential cookies — required for the Platform to function (e.g. authentication, session management)
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how users interact with the Platform
- Preference cookies — remember your search filters and saved locations
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioural tracking cookies for ad targeting. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- Row-level security (RLS) on database tables
- Access controls limiting staff access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
- Regular review of security practices

Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Our general retention guidelines are:
- Account information — retained while your account is active and for 7 years after closure
- Rental application documents (identity & financial) — deleted on a mandatory schedule set out in Section 10A below, compliant with the Victorian Government's residential rental law changes (March 2026)
- Rental application details (non-document) — retained for 12 months after the application outcome
- Inspection reports — retained for 2 years from the date of the inspection
- Financial records — retained for 7 years in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and ATO requirements
- Marketing preferences — retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent
When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it in a secure manner.
Digital Shredding of Application Documents
Our digital forms and document handling are compliant as prescribed by the Victorian Government's new residential rental law changes introduced in March 2026, including obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic) s.30AC and the Residential Tenancies Regulations 2021 (Vic) Regulations 14A & 14B.
Successful applications
If your rental application is approved and the property is leased, your uploaded identity and financial documents stored in t2o-applicant-files will be permanently deleted from our servers 7 days after the property is marked as leased.
Unsuccessful applications — PM/Landlord access
If your application is declined or withdrawn, the property manager's or landlord's access to your identity and financial documents is revoked immediately. They will no longer be able to view your personal documents from that point forward.
Unsuccessful applications — document deletion

Delete your documents at any time
Regardless of the schedule above, you have the right to request immediate deletion of your identity and financial documents at any time. You can do this yourself via the "Delete My Identity Documents Now" button on your profile page. Deletion is instant and irreversible, and we will record the action on your account. Your application profile (name, contact details, employment history) is not affected.

Your Rights — Access, Correction & Deletion (APP 12 & 13)
Under the Australian Privacy Principles and the Victorian residential rental laws (March 2026), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you (APP 12)
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, or misleading (APP 13)
- Delete your identity documents immediately — via the "Delete My Identity Documents Now" button on your profile page (see Section 10A)

Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information about a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.
Sensitive Information
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act (including racial or ethnic origin, health information, biometric data, or criminal record information) unless it is reasonably necessary and you have provided explicit consent, or we are required by law to collect it.
Rental application documents submitted by renters may incidentally contain sensitive information. These documents are stored securely, shared only with the relevant property manager, and retained in accordance with Section 10.
Direct Marketing
With your consent, we may send you marketing communications about UnlockHome features, T2O Property Solutions services, and relevant property market information. You may opt out at any time by:
- Clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email
- Updating your communication preferences in your account settings

We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) in all direct marketing activities.
Privacy Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us by:
